You're dreaming of your perfect wedding day and imagining how all the details will come together.  Whether that image is crystal clear, or you're having a hard time visualizing it, I'm here to offer you my expertise and support!   As a professional coach and teacher, I value the importance of relationship building and planning. As an artist, I’m passionate about visual design.  As a person whose primary core value is making a difference, I delight in working with couples who come to Vermont for their destination wedding.  There's nothing more rewarding than creating a visual environment that tells a story in fresh flowers and botanicals -   a unique reflection and celebration of you!

I look forward to bringing your vision to life.

Cheers!

"Hiring Sarah Jo as our florist was one of the best decisions I made. I can be quite indecisive and she was so friendly and accommodating throughout the entire process. I had a specific vision in mind...She absolutely killed it! Everything came out BETTER than I had envisioned. I can't recommend her enough!"

SJ is an incredible floral artist. She did an extraordinary job working with us to establish a decorative vision for our wedding, and executed it with creativity, artistry, and joy! Our flowers were more beautiful than we could have imagined, thanks to SJ and her team.

Process

Here at Creative Muse Floral Design, I specialize in weddings exclusively.  "Your Vision Realized" is my commitment and what sets Creative Muse apart.  For nearly two decades I have been instrumental in realizing the visions of hundreds of clients who have "tied the knot" in our beautiful State of Vermont since 2003!

I book a limited number of weddings a season.  You can be assured that your wedding gets the special attention you deserve.  I will work with you to bring your vision to life in creative ways that exceed your expectations. Your wedding floral designs will be thoughtfully planned, and expertly crafted with love and care.

I believe in the importance of building relationships with my clients.  Our partnership starts with a personal consultation.  We start by phone and email, so if you're not close by, that's okay {many of my clients come from afar for a Vermont destination wedding}. During the consultation, we will explore your vision from "big picture" to details.

I typically start booking weddings 9-12 months in advance, so contact me early to ensure availability.  LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CONSULTATION PROCESS >

Commitments

Make it personal!

What could be more personal than your wedding day?  My goal is your vision realized.  To that end, I believe everything comes down to our relationship.

I am committed to getting to know you and building a relationship based on trust and transparency.  This starts from our first conversation.

I am committed to quality, personalized service.  You deserve nothing less.

Equity!

I am committed to equity.  This includes an inclusive and equitable environment, where all team members, clients, and vendors I work with feel valued and respected.  The multi-faceted aspects of your identity are appreciated, valued, and welcome here!  Creative Muse is a proud member of the Wedding and Event Vendor Alliance based in Vermont. WEVA is a non-profit organization that advocates for growth, diversity, and inclusion in the wedding industry. To learn more about this work visit wevavt.org

Environmental consciousness!

I am committed to stewardship. During the Vermont growing season, I am proud to source flowers and botanicals from growers as close as 5 miles from my studio, even from my own gardens!  I believe in keeping business local and green whenever it makes practical sense. In addition, I engage in the following practices:

  • Design foam-free as much as possible

  • Repurpose and up-cycle {when viable and feasible}

  • Recycle packaging, byproducts, and waste

  • Compost biodegradable and organic byproducts

  • Provide rental options for containers, displays, and decor elements {when appropriate}

  • Use natural and/or non-toxic cleaning products in my studio
