Creative soul | Asker of questions | Floral Fashioner | Inspired by Nature | Believer in Love

I’m a ninth generation Vermonter with deep roots in the greater community, and I am proud to be a part of Vermont's thriving wedding industry! My passion for creating began at an early age. As a young girl, I loved picking wildflowers and arranging them for neighbors; or recreating Georgia O’Keeffe paintings with flowers from my garden and pieces of bone that I would collect exploring the woods around our small farm.

My lifetime of creative expression gives me a dynamic and diverse platform to support an individualized approach to your floral and event design needs.  I developed my technical skills under the mentoring and coaching of brilliant designers.  I'm also committed to lifelong learning, and to that end I  continue to seek out opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills as a designer.  As a professional coach and teacher, I value the importance of relationship building and planning. As an artist, I’m passionate about design, color, texture, and composition.  As a person whose primary core value is making a difference, I delight in working with couples to create a wedding environment in fresh flowers and botanicals that is a unique reflection of them.

Here at Creative Muse Floral Design, I specialize in weddings exclusively.  "Your Vision Realized" is my commitment and what sets Creative Muse apart.  For nearly two decades I have been instrumental in realizing the visions of hundreds of clients who have "tied the knot" in our beautiful State of Vermont.

I book a limited number of weddings a season.  You can be assured that your wedding gets the special attention you deserve.  I will work with you to bring your vision to life in creative ways that exceed your expectations. Your wedding floral designs will be thoughtfully planned, and expertly crafted with love and care.

I believe in the importance of building relationships with my clients.  Our partnership starts with a personal consultation.  We start by phone and email, so if you're not close by, that's okay {many of my clients come from afar for a Vermont destination wedding}. During the consultation, we will explore your vision from "big picture" to details.

I typically start booking weddings 9-12 months in advance, so contact me early to ensure availability.  LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CONSULTATION PROCESS >

stew·ard·ship (noun)

The careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care.

-Merriam-Webster Dictionary

I believe that I have a duty in my work as an artist to diligently manage and thoughtfully consider the resources required in my work. During the Vermont growing season, I am proud to source flowers and botanicals from growers as close as 5 miles from my studio. I have personal relationships with these growers.  In most situations, I am personally going to the farms and hand selecting your flowers myself.  I love keeping business local and green whenever it makes practical sense.  When it is not possible to source locally due to variety, volume, or season I look to Veriflora (a sustainability program) certified growers whenever possible.  In addition, I engage in the following practices:

  • Repurpose and upcycle {when viable and feasible}

  • Recycle packaging, byproducts, and waste

  • Compost biodegradable and organic byproducts

  • Provide rental options for containers, displays, and decor elements {when appropriate}

  • Use natural and/or non-toxic cleaning products in my studio
