Northern Vermont Destination Weddings

The Process
How We'll Work Together
Planning a destination wedding means trusting your vendors in a deeper way. I've refined a process over 23 years that gives you confidence and peace of mind from wherever you're planning.
Step 1: Initial Inquiry
When you reach out with a Consultation Request, I'll want to know about your wedding date, venue, guest count, and what role you envision florals playing in your celebration. I'll also be happy to answer any initial questions you have by email before we set up a Consultation.
Step 2: The Consultation
Whether we meet in person, over video call, or by phone, this consultation is the foundation of everything. I'm not interested in taking your Pinterest board and recreating it exactly. I want to understand:
-
Who you are as a couple
-
What your wedding day means to you
-
The feeling and environment you want to create
-
How you want your guests to experience the space
-
Your venue's unique character and how florals can enhance it
-
Your color preferences, style sensibilities, and what inspires you
I'll share my expertise about what works beautifully at your specific venue, what's in season, and design possibilities you may not have considered. This is a collaboration—you bring the vision, I bring two decades of design knowledge and venue experience.
The consultation typically takes 45-60 minutes. It's not rushed. We're building trust and a shared creative direction.
Step 3: The Proposal
After our consultation, I'll create a proposal that reflects everything we discussed. This includes:
-
A description of all design elements we discussed
-
Proposed flower varieties and color palettes
-
Investment information
-
Formal agreement (contract)
-
Visual inspiration board
This proposal is the road map for your wedding florals. It's detailed enough that you can visualize the final result, but still allows for adjustments and design refinements that happen as your wedding approaches.
Step 4: Booking
I will hold your date for ten days in my calendar after I send the proposal. Once you're ready to move forward, a signed contract and deposit secures your date. Remember: I only book one wedding per weekend. When you book with me, you have my complete focus for that entire weekend.
Step 5: The Months Leading Up
As your wedding approaches, we'll stay in touch. We'll make updates and adjustments as your planning evolves. I'll keep you posted about:
-
Seasonal availability of flower varieties
-
Design refinements based on your evolving vision
-
Coordination with your venue and other vendors
-
Timeline for delivery and setup
Step 6: Your Wedding Day
While you're getting ready and celebrating with your loved ones, my day-of team and I are installing every element we planned. I'll deliver your wedding party flowers personally so we get to have a moment of connection after months of planning! By the time you arrive at your ceremony, the environment we envisioned together is complete.
Step 7: After Your Celebration
After your wedding, I love seeing your photos and hearing about your day. Many couples tell me their florals exceeded their expectations—that's always my goal.
