Chandra & Cole | Real Vermont Wedding

Chandra & Cole said "I do," on a hazy mid-summer day on the farm Chandra grew up on. A combination of July humidity and wildfire smoke in the atmosphere offered a natural, ethereal filter to the picture-perfect day.
This wedding was extra special for me because Chandra is a former student of mine and has gone on to pursue a career in education, too! (Proud teacher, here.) When she asked me to do the floral designs for her wedding, there wasn't a moment of hesitation. What an honor to bring Chandra and Cole's vision to life! Their neutral color palette, heavy with textures, echoed a strong sense of place: the family farm, pastures of grazing cows, rolling meadows speckled with wildflowers, summer hay fields, history, legacy, natural beauty. We anchored the florals with roses, lisianthus, larkspur, lots of feverfew--and accented with local grasses, pennycress, and touches of eucalyptus.
