Congratulations Sarah & Chris on your two-year anniversary this month!
Sarah & Chris tied the knot on a beautiful late September afternoon at the West Monitor Barn in Richmond, Vermont. Home of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, the venue is a historic post and beam treasure with idyllic grounds, nestled in the Green Mountains. Rain throughout the morning brought the ceremony inside, but the clouds parted just in time and guests were treated to breath-taking views from the open barn doors and opportunities to enjoy alfresco socializing throughout the evening.
Sarah and Chris planned a classic, elegant vibe with vintage accents. Sarah chose to focus on a lighter color palette inside the barn, and muted colors for the wedding party. The warm copper, peach, gold, and blush tones of the flowers were lovely against the bridesmaids soft green dresses, and the navy suits worn by the men. The color palette also was a seamless echo of the early foliage just turning on the hills!
Flowers and botanicals were almost exclusively locally grown and sourced. Lush dahlias, cheery zinnias, assorted celosia and amaranth, accented with roses and eucalyptus helped us achieve the look. Chris is a home beer brewer, and by chance we snagged the last local hops and worked them into his boutonniere as a surprise.
Vision achieved! Enjoy the autumn bliss through these photos by the wildly talented Amy Bennett of Amy Bennett Photography.
Love for the other creatives:
